I had five monarchs eclose this morning, 3 Males and 2 Females. Only 4 could be released as one of the females had a curled up hind wing. I took her out with the others to see how she would do flying, but she had a hard time. She wouldn't last long out in the wild, so I brought her back in to keep in the house and feed by hand. This happened last year also and I was able to have a monarch "pet" for 104 days.
