Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 08/21/2015

Number: 7

All we have to do is look out the window and within minutes we see one or more RT hummers on flowers and feeders. It seems they are more tolerant of each other, at least to a point, then the chase is on. We still have two males. I've included a picture of our resident male, Gabe, high in an oak tree hawking bugs and guarding his territory. We also have two male juveniles and I think three females, one being a large female who our neighbor dubbed as Dora. My neighbor and I believe these graceful creatures know us. I'm happy to be a small part of their world. I love this time of year!!!!!!
