Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/21/2015

Number: 7

The season started out with not very many hummers at our feeders. They arrived late and I would only have 2 maybe three but not frequently. The last 2 to 3 weeks I have had much activity at my 3 feeders. I regularly have 5 and up to 7 hummers. Each feeder is guarded by a male hummer one on each one. When others come to eat there is much chasing going on. One guards from a bush nearby and comes out when another comes to the feeder. I think it stays in the bush for the coolness and also to hide. This has been the most hummers I have had in a few years and to be here daily. I will hate to see them go.
