Today I discovered a second tiny larva queen, on the same milkweed plant as the first queen already reported to you several days ago. This one though is only about 3/8" long.
The first queen molted today and is approx. 1 inch long now. The tiny princess I discovered today ate so is doing OK for now.
I returned to the sighting on Mariposa St. in Prescott, to see if I could spot any larva, but didn't see any. I did see several red beetles on the milkweed flowers and coatings of yellow/orange aphids on the stems.
