Fresh female in my butterfly garden, nectaring on buddlias. Arrived at 11:00 am and left ay 1:00 pm. Returned to garden at 3:00 pm and remained until 6:00 pm feeding. Never visited common milkweed patch. I suspect she may be 4th generation. Also found 1 larva on milkweed on 8/13 which I captive reared and is in crysalis now. Monarch's are still very scarce in my area, but better than previous two years at least. I don't see many postings for MA on the Journey North website.
Weather was very overcast and in the mid 70 's all day.
