I don't think I have ever, during my 15-year residence in this location, seen so many hummingbirds. I don't have to go looking for them, as they come to me -- outside my living room window I planted a large Lonicera (honeysuckle family) hybrid with bright red flowers that they find irresistible...

But for the past three (or possibly more) weeks, I have seen NO MALES.
