Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 08/23/2015

Number: 5

After my August 7 Monarch pair laid eggs all thru garden, got visits from 3 more newly emerged Monarchs, one of which also laid eggs in milkweed field Aug 15-17.
Now I have 5 or more very chubby caterpillars in the Common milkweed field. I am sure there's more but I don't want to go tramping thru the field. The milkweed is starting to fail at this late date, but there's plenty of it.
Presently collecting seeds (several kinds) to populate my new garden at Stockton. This was a great season!
