Saw three ruby throats feeding from a mixed patch of cardinal flowers and touch-me-nots growing in the bog garden at Biltmore Estate. They were all females or juveniles. I am positive at least one was a juvenille by it's behavior,as it came to inspect me,hovering about two feet in front of my face. They were squabbling a little over the flowers,but on the whole were fairly tolerant of each other,so maybe one was an adult female and the other two were her last two youngsters of the season.
