Have two adult male ruby throats squabbling over the deck area. They mostly get nectar from one of the two feeders,but occasionally feed from mandevilla and streptocarpella flowers. One of them also defends the feeder outside the kitchen window,which is just around the corner of the house. Another adult male defends the feeder hanging on the porch,on the opposite side of the house. This year I have noticed that we seem to have more adult males than females,of which there seem to be only two.
