Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/23/2015

Number: 10

We saw a lot of monarchs nectaring on wild sunflowers, cup plant and purple coneflower but it was too windy and the monarchs were too flighty to be able to count past 10. We were not able to tag any due to the wind. A group of 6 was found high in a tree about 7:00 but were too high to net and tag. They are staging here, getting ready to migrate.
