We installed a butterfly garden this spring. I sighted the first and only monarch I have seen all summer on Aug 17 in the Outdoor classroom. The monarch was all over the milkweed. Two days later I checked and there where eggs all over the milkweed. A day or two after that, Aug 23 I can see that the eggs have hatched and are moving and growing. Our students are excited and have been using magnifying glasses to get a closer look.
