It has been another exciting summer for observations.
I have had monarchs since the end of March/early April all the way until June. June I do not have any around, first week of July they come back.
What I have noticed this year,they haven't left. It could be the weather heat,drought etc. Or the fact we have many native milkweed & nectar plants here. I live in big farm country & there's just not much out there for pollinators.
I have been amused by the caterpillars going into my chicken coop. I have collected over 50 chrysalis 3 weeks ago, now I am collecting more.
