This summer was the first time in five years that we enjoyed seeing a variety of birds, bees, and butterflies. We enjoyed seeing monarchs, numerous other butterflies, a goldfinch all feeding on zinnias, butterfly bush and Mexican sunflowers. The 3 hummingbirds that visited our feeder was so unexpected yet such a joyful occasion. We noted a female, then what we thought was her offspring, and then a larger male. We live in such an urban area with very little green space so to have attracted such a variety was true joy. Attached is the photo of our first hummingbird visitor.
