Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/25/2015

Number: 3

Saw three monarchs at the Daniel Boone Native Gardens in town in the early evening hours: one deeply colored male in pristine condition (possibly just recently eclosed), another male with faded colors on tattered wings (possibly an older male from the summer breeding generation), and the third one didn't settle long enough for me to determine its sex. The two males were chasing each other around the gardens, occasionally taking breaks to rest.
