Monarch Egg Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/24/2015

Number: 5

After observing and photographing the first monarch of the season nectaring on Asclepia tuberosa (milkweed)in my yard, I looked for eggs. I found 5 eggs on different leaves of the milkweed. 2 days later I brought the eggs into a container to raise them to adulthood for the first time. Bought more milkweed plants today. 3 larvae have emerged today!
