About 8 PM today I caught something zip by in my peripheral vison. I had an empty hummingbird feeder hanging in a redbud tree in my back yard. Grabbed the feeder, took it inside and filled it with sugar water I had mixed and saved in the fridge. I put the filled feeder back in the tree, returned to the house. I stayed on the porch for a few minutes and the hummer returned to the feeder where she stayed for several minutes before flying to the east. It was too dark to get a decent picture or confirm the species.
