At my favorite park, I walked in a linear direction counting the monarchs nectaring on the drifts of Joe Pye Weed. I counted 33 but couldn't see the ones on the backsides of the JPW drifts so my count might be low. It was a very calming experience until I felt a stray bee crawling up my arm while I was driving home. It was a good outcome for both of us.
