Even though I have several of their favorite nectar plants, the monarchs only visited the Joe Pye Weed and Mexican Sunflower. It's a far cry from 1996 when I had about 40-50 monarchs on JPW during migration but at least I saw monarchs the entire afternoon (noon to 5 pm). Five monarchs might be conservative because it seemed that every time I looked out I saw at least 2-3 monarchs at a time. This is definitely an improvement.
