The 5 adult male and sub-adult male Ruby-throats have been here for over 3 weeks which I have never seen before for the duration. They usually stay a couple of days. Must be this past hot summer temperatures in the north east making the necessary pit stop longer to gain weight. They are also molting which is another factor in past observations to make the stay longer. They also are not going to feeders as much just Hamelia all over our landscape which has certainly paid off.
