Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/30/2015

Number: 3

I was walking in my neighborhood, around 11 a.m. and it was a sunny, breezy, very warm day. I looked up and actually saw a pretty Monarch fly right by me as I was walking! It seemed to be fluttering by quickly, heading to the South! Then, about 20 minutes later, as I was walking, another Monarch was flying in the same direction close by!
When I got home, there was a Monarch in my backyard, and it stayed all day! It would circle around my house, then fly back to the zinnias. It looked so happy--ha!ha! It even flew around my head a few times, then would circle around the yard and come back to the zinnias! This Monarch may be one of the same ones, that has been back there, the past few days!
