Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/30/2015

Number: 2

Two large adults floated into the yard on our farm about 6pm. We watched them for about 20 minutes. One nectared on Gregg's blue mist flowers. Both were hanging about the trees; so I suspect they stayed overnight, but was unable to locate them in the thick foliage. These are our first for this fall. We have milkweed in bloom, but our part of the state is extremely dry, and there will not be much nectar to be found.
