This morning along the junction of two country roads Simpson Hill and Stillar Side Roads- I saw 7 caterpillars and at least 50 eggs and possibly 10 larvae. Two butterflies noted the day before 1/2 kilometre from caterpillar and larvae sighting.

I was concerned that the milkweed that hosted the caterpillars were very close the travelled portion of the road. The day before I had moved 2 caterpillars to larger patch of milkweed not so near the road. They seem to be adjusting to this location. The others noted today are also on small milkweed.

Some small milkweed had a liberal dusting of eggs.
