To be or not to be a bees ...good neighbour.

The benefits to humans, animals, trees and plants from bees are legion

Most of us have heard of the collapse in the numbers bees.

There are a number of suspected causes. Largely human.

Over the years, I have listened or read of honey producers feeding the bees sugar-water.

My simple logic wonders if sugar that is so empty of health giving nutrients for us....would this not be so for bees as well?

Is it possible they are weakened by this practise. Are we taking away too much from the hives.

Are we beeing good neighbours.
