Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/29/2015

Number: 54

Cool, overcast, rainy, 63 degrees and the busiest day we've ever had in the habitat. There are 18 feeders--the zooming, chittering, and aerial, tag games were amazing fun. Several of the little girls, would sit on the small, tree branches I've attached to Shepard hooks and lift their tiny heads and beaks to nectar from the (yellow) dicentra scandens and (purple) clematis ragouchi vines, these vines wind around the branches and surround their feeders; truly a delight to witness. Their joyful parties and presence will be missed as they start their journeys south.
