Noticed Monarchs flying and roosting in trees in backyard last night around 7pm, Sept 1 2015. Overnight temp: guessing between 50 and 60 F. The trees they were roosting on are fairly well sheltered from the wind. Box elder trees with a hill to the east. They were on the side facing the hill.

Update 9/4/2015. Checked at 7pm and the Monarchs were beginning to roost. Counted around 30. Temperature at that time 85 F.
