Down to two birds, one Rufous and one Rubythroated. The Rubythroated is relegated to less than ideal patch of Raspberry Wine Monarda in the front garden and the feisty Rufous has command of the more extensive patch of Raspberry Wine in the back garden which it defends vigorously. I have a feeder in each area as well as others placed throughout the yard but the birds are showing a definite preference for the flowers. I have not observed them at the feeders at any time of the day even though the flowers are past their prime.
