Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/02/2015

Number: 6

We have at least six RT hummers visiting our feeders and flowers. They consume over a cup of sugar water daily. Today I observed two males, two distinct juvenile males and two female/juvenile hummers. Sometimes they are tolerant of each other even sharing a feeder or limb. Other times my garden is taken over by them acting like fighter pilots, dive bombing and chasing. My resident male (Gabe) will sit on his perch watching the air wars, he will only give chase if they get too close to HIS space. I'm sure going to miss these feisty birds.
