I have raised, from eggs, 29 Monarch butterflies and two more chrysalis that have not opened. I have covered the larvae with a soccer umbrella to try to keep them somewhat dry, as we have a storm every day. For several months this summer I did not do that and I had 2 butterflies in almost three months.
