Like the end of last year I am having issues hatching the monarchs. They seem unable to hold on to the chrysalis until their wings are ready to fly. The result is a monarch falls into it's own juices and the wings dry in a crumpled form and it is unable to fly. It is heartbreaking. One yesterday and one today.
I live in farming country and yes pestcides are used in the fields around my house. I do not know if that is the problem or not but I never used to have this happen.
