Although we used to see Monarch butterflies in our Burtonsville yard and neighborhood daily, we have not seen a single one in the past several years. A neighbor who has a full size butterfly bush used to have numerous monarchs on it all the time but has had none for the past few years. Therefore we were very excited to see this one today on a dwarf butterfly bush in our yard. We have had this bush for two years - we also have a full size butterfly bush - and will be planting butterfly weed next year to try to help this lovely butterfly.
