I have a feeder on my back deck and hummers have been feeding there all summer. There are at least 2 pairs, as I have seen 3 hummers at the same time feeding. Today there was a male feeding and 2 times he perched on top of the feeder pole and just looked around for several minutes. They seem to be quite comfortable with our presence as long as we don't make much noise. Today also there were 2 females buzzing each other around the flowers on the deck and feeding. I saw hummers feeding from 9:00am until 5:45pm today about 14 times.
