Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/04/2015

Number: 13

I counted 13 in the garden at one time almost exclusively feeding on New England Aster and a couple of them found the orange profusion zinnias hidden under the taller State Fair Zinnias. There was a fairly strong Southerly wind today and the Monarch's were staying put and feeding at length. Once in a while they would get blown off the flowers, they would circle around and get back on the plant. By 5pm most of the Monarchs had taken cover for the night or moved on. I saw a lot more females today.
