A busy day in the butterfly garden. Monarchs showed up around 9:00am and there was always 3 or 4 in the backyard and 2 or three in the front yard throughout the day. Finally they left around 7:00pm. Last evening I saw a pair mating and today I found 12 eggs on various types of milkweed. This evening I saw another pair mating so perhaps I'll find more eggs tomorrow.
It was hot & humid here again today. Also had lots of hummingbird sightings throughout the day from morning to evening. Even saw 2 at once. I released 7 Monarchs this afternoon. 4 Males and 3 females.
