We have milkweed in our backyard in Conway, AR. We have seen 2-3 Monarchs over the past 3 weeks (8/23-9/09). About 3 weeks ago (August 28), we actually witnessed the monarch laying eggs on our milkweed. About 15-20 caterpillars hatched. We brought about 15 inside and feed/fed them milkweed leaves every day. We released our first monarch butterflies (3) yesterday! Several more cocoons are almost ready to change as well. It has been exciting to watch the transformations!
