We have 3 chrysalis in the past 2 days and at least 4 caterpillars feeding on milkweed. We had 14 hatch the last week of July. Two chrysalis did not hatch. We aren't raising them as in an enclosed or protected space. We have planted monarch butterfly, and butterflies in general, and hummingbird- supportive flowering perennials.
