Observed 6 monarchs in the yard feeding on zinnias and Mexican Sunflower. Another hot, humid day. After counting numbers in the 20's during the last week (8/30-9/1) I have seen monarchs in the yard each day since but numbers have been down varying from 3-7 when I've checked. Have seen monarchs feeding at zinnias, Mexican Sunflowers, Joe Pye weed, on second bloom salvia, and on spearmint that seems like it's blooming late and on some goldenrod.
