While working up here in Northern Alberta I was absolutely delighted to be entertained by approx. 8 - 10 Barn Swallows flitting about outside my camp room window on 2 evenings! I had just left Ontario and my own Swallows who were just finishing up nesting in my horse stables - so I was very delighted to see these little fellows WAY up here in Northern Alberta!!!! I was not aware that their range was so extensive. I did not see them last night though (06 Sept) and figure these ones were just passing by on the way to their winter grounds.
