Released one female monarch at my favorite park. A perfect day to release: sunshine and light breeze from the N/NE. There were no monarchs fluttering around the Joe Pye Weed as has been the case over the past few weeks. The JPW in sunny areas is past its prime but there are still drifts of it in partly shaded areas that look good enough to be a food source for other monarchs.
