Feeling neglected because there are no monarchs at my puny Mexican Sunflowers, I decided to visit my sister's backyard. Her Mexican Sunflowers are gigantic. Three plants form a hedge six feet tall by 11 feet long with beautiful orange blossums everywhere. Sure enough...she had three monarchs flying from one bloom to another completely ignoring zinnia, salivas, rudbeckia, tall verbena, and me. I don't know her secret but she's helping lots of migrating monarchs.
