Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/07/2015

Number: 4

There are far less Monarchs here today than yesterday. No Southern winds today so maybe the Monarchs are taking advantage of the almost still day to move on. Four Monarchs are in the garden right now. One, a very small female, has been nectaring since at least 10am. It is now 4:19pm. I noticed this Monarch because it was at least a third smaller than the other Monarchs. I went out to take a look and she is just small. She has a small light yellowish discoloration on the right wing. Her wings are in good shape and she's feeding well. Maybe she's an older Monarch. I've attached a picture of this mighty little Monarch.
