Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 09/03/2015

Number: 3

Three monarchs were flying on a hot summer Friday afternoon in a cut field of hay.

We wanted to send you picture of a procedure I read about this summer when doing research on butterflies. One of the chrysalis fell on the bottom of a jar when someone accidently knocked it. My students, para-educator, and I used dental floss and glue to reattach it. We came back to school today and it's looking good. We are crossing our fingers. My students are loving this expedition.
