Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/08/2015

Number: 2

Still 2 here (at least), chasing each other around the yard chattering, for the last couple days. Seems to be a female and a young male. May still be last of our "residents". Had 3 females and 3 males this summer, plus the "kids" in August, for up to 12. Was so much fun to watch in August. The young male thinks he owns the yard. Have seen him chasing a dove, a goldfinch, and even a hairy woodpecker! Had 4 just a few days ago. There are always some that drop in for a drink on their way south, but don't stay for very long. Attached a pic of one of the resident males, who left 10 days ago.
