5 hummers were feeding frequently on nectar feeders at first light this morning. Had 10 ruby-throats yesterday evening. After it was light about 45 minutes this morning then started seeing the hummers feeding on the salvias. Could be the early drinkers are tanking up this morning to continue south. Wouldn't be surprised to see only 3 or 4 left this evening. At least one of the hummers was on one feeder the whole time I watched for about an hour before going to work. I have to think she's getting ready to leave today. Cool front moving in this week.
