It was really hot and muggy on Monday (Labor Day). I hadn't seen too many Monarchs in my backyard for a few days, BUT there was just one eating from the zinnias, around 3:30 p.m.. It ate & stayed for awhile , then fluttered up and over the fence, heading south! There were a lot of bees and bumblebees, and other smaller butterflies back there too, by the zinnias.
