I was in my backyard on August 25, at 11:16 am and I noticed the monarch butterfly. It landed briefly in my maple tree then flew to the other side of the yard and landed on my lilac bush. I was able to get a picture of it in the lilac bush. I have lived at my present location for 20 years and this is the first time I have seen a Monarch!
