Adults remain active, although now 2 to 3 hours between sightings at feeders. Warm days with sunshine bring out plenty of little flying bugs for them. Four female Ruby Throats and one male vying for control of the feeder zone. We have 6 feeders across our deck with Hibiscus and Geraniums for their use.
Photo is of one female which sips from all of the flowers before going to a feeder, most of the time hovering. The other Rubys tend to perch at feeders and sip their fill if not chassed away by another.
