Found a caterpillar in my potato patch munching on a stray buckwheat leaf. I relocated it to a milkweed and after exploring it started eating it's correct food. I'm concerned that it is too late now for it to complete its metamorphosis and migrate in time. I've been taking particulars daily. It was still there and getting fatter on 09/06 which is the last photo I have. It disappeared from the milkweed on the 7th. I've not seen it and hope a bird didn't get it.
