Tagged monarch found on September 2nd Sad news. I saw a monarch at the same plants as the day prior. The butterfly had a wide slash in the wing, outer to inner where someone had cut the tag out. Horrible! How would anyone know? Maybe the tag was put on nearby. The butterfly was still flying with half a wing, so that’s good, but not nice.
