The numbers of hummingbirds in sightings has been diminishing the last 5 days. Flowers and plants are drying up around here. In addition, the hummingbirds now have to contend with hornets at the feeders as they are in their scavenging season. They have been able to work around the wasps but respect the hornets.

Consumption is way down from last week. Last week daily consumption was one liter+. This week it is possibly 1 1/2 cup a day with the help of the insects.
