Although I have not seen any large groups of Monarchs, over the last week I have captured and tagged 75. They appear in my yard one or two at a time and when tagged they disappear. I have only seen two after they have been tagged. I have also tagged and released 77 reared Monarchs and have at least that many more to go. In comparison, last year I only caught and tagged 6 although I really didn't concentrate on it as I have this year, and raised and released 62.
